How Nature Heals

I have always felt at home in nature, from a very young age. I made mud pies, sat in trees,

laid in the grass watching the clouds. I remember one time, in summer, I didn't feel well at the age of 8, went to my fort in the woods, laid down and fell asleep amongst the trees. I woke to my mom calling me and it was dark. Needless to say, I felt great and ran home.

Fast forward to my life now. I don't miss a day walking or hiking in nature. It is my home. I know I am connected to all that is there, I am held, I am healed, balanced, calmed and grounded. The earth is our one true mother, who provides us with a beautiful home and all that we need to live a beautiful life. My prayer is that we enter a space of balance.

We humans need to fix the imbalances we've caused and live in reciprocity with the earth and all her beings. We need to give back what we take, we need to be caretakers and love her with all our hearts. My hope is that we wake up and start working together. We have children, grandchildren, plants, animals, air, water, fire -all of it that we need to take great care of. We need to help provide a healthy future for those that come after us.

How can we just take and take, no honor, gratitude or respect for the plants, the food, the fruit, the vegetables, the trees, the flowers, the waters, the animals, the insects, and so much more. They all provide medicine, sustenance, nourishment, and so much more that we aren't even aware of. They give us life. We must dance, play and show joy for this one precious life we have been gifted. Let us come together and live in compassion, unity, community, equality, and love. Wake up and remember who you are. This earth remembers and she is trying to warn us before it is too late.
